ECO NET – Promotion of Training Firms in South Eastern Europe
Education for Future Business Partners in a Common Europe -
Learning and Working Together

Mission Statement

A precondition for European integration is the development of competitive markets and stable democratic structures as well as cross-border dialogue.

Competitive markets are not feasible without the appropriate human resources, i.e. a well-trained and educated workforce which can react flexibly to the demands of markets which are developing fast. This creates new challenges for the educational systems of the region, particularly in the field of vocational education. Instead of theoretical knowledge, the aim is provide key qualifications for the labour market. The training firms model offers an ideal instrument for this purpose.

ECO NET stands for cross-border cooperation, learning together and stable partnerships.

The Training Firm

The training firm is an innovative, practically-orientated teaching method - a model of a company in which the processes of a real business are made transparent for the learning process. Key qualifications such as team work, a willingness to work hard, flexibility and the ability to cope with stress and make decisions, competence in resolving conflicts and above all intercultural sensitivity are promoted in a simulated business world with real partners from the participants' own country and other countries.

The model can be employed flexibly in different types of vocational schools and colleges according to the relevant training needs.
